The Sinereans are one of the oldest known intelligent species in the universe. They come from the planet Cora-94 in the Canis Major Dwarf Galaxy, which is approximately 25,000 light years from the Milky Way. They helped develop the technology known as Thauma-Tech with the help of their galactic, friendly neighbors, the Emergil and Chromids. They used this technology and the help of the Emergil and Chromids to travel from their galaxy to the Milky Way on an expedition to find other forms of life. Upon meeting the Earthlings the four species created the IDC and GLU.

Physical Characteristics- The Sinereans are generally a very tall and slender species, having only four long fingers, and extremely long limbs. Their skin tone is a naturally blue color, ranging from lighter to darker hues of blue. They also have tentacle-like hair, and two eyes, but are easily recognizable as non-humans, not only due to their stature and lack of a fifth phalange but to the very distinctly alien facial features, head shape, ear shape, and eye shape.

Genetic Characteristics- The Sinereans are widely known to have the greatest natural affinity for magical skill and understanding as a species. This is due to Sinereans having naturally occurring magical auras. The original Sinereans actually discovered magic and how to harness it to their advantage. They don’t preclude other species from learning it, but most humans do not typically recognize their powers as “magic”, and are therefore forbidden from learning directly from most Sinereans. They only teach those that are willing to learn magic for what it is. But it can be taught by other magic users and magic users can be found among any species.

Known Subspecies- The Sinereans are known to have three different subspecies. These are the Agrestallens, Opulents, and Singraad.

Agrestallens

They are generally the most physically adept of the Sinereans. They tend to have slightly weaker magical abilities but can sometimes use their magic to physically enhance themselves. This subspecies does not consider themselves anything other than Sinereans and they believe themselves to be the Sinreans that follow their natural way of life that began with the first Sinereans. The Agrestallens on the Sinerean home planet of Cora-94 in general do not use technology or Thauma-Tech, relying on natural resources and their magic to survive and perform any task they can. They usually have a darker blue skin tone from being out in the sunlight during the day. Their solar system has a blue sun, which is what causes the naturally blue skin tones of the Sinereans as their bodies evolved natural forms of protection from the radiation of the sun. Though instead of tanning like humans do all Sinereans become darker blue with the more sunlight exposure they get. Agrestallens are well trained for hand to hand combat and use of weapons as well, infusing their more nature based magic into their fighting styles, though they attempt to only use them for survival and self defense. The Agrestallens have had to closely track the cycles of the 6 moons surrounding Cora-94 in order to avoid their mutating radiation. As such they strictly remain in heavily forested areas or caves during the night time, and have to employ multiple strategies for emergency protection.

Opulents

These are usually the physically weakest but most skilled with magic overall, the most powerful Opulents can even use multiple types of magic. The self-named “Opulents” are the most commonly known Sinereans within the GLU and the universe. They hold themselves in the highest esteem as being amongst the most intelligent species in the universe. They call themselves the Opulents due to their high self confidence. Their society runs on intelligence and elegance. They have pioneered the combination of Magic and Technology along with the help of the Emergil and Chromids to create Thauma-Tech, which has propelled the entire universe’s capability for intergalactic travel among other various uses. The Opulents remain indoors 99% of their lives, in order to stay safe from the radiation of the 6 moons that orbit their planet. The Opulents have even stopped procreating in the natural way and have begun using their mixture of magic and technology to create new offspring, and they consider natural procreation to be dirty and a waste of time. The Opulents believe that the dark magic practiced by the Singraad is impure and not true magic, but something that mimics it.

Singraad

The Singraad are the most unique subspecies of Sinereans, and actually consider themselves another branched species from the early times of Sinerean history. They believe in the Moon God which controls their solar system’s 6 moons, all of which orbit the Sinaeren planet. There are very few, if any, Singraad that actually are considered to be allied with the IDC and GLU. The Singraad treat night-time as the day, and vice-versa, trying to keep their exposure to light limited to what the rest of us would call night. The moons are made of a mysterious material that emits a different waveform of light, which mutates those exposed to it, and is what gives the Singraad a purple tinted skin tone. They use dark magic and believe that is the only magic for them to use, and consider Singraad that uses any other types of magic to be heretics. The Singraad have a very low population compared to the other two subspecies because they have a ritualistic form of procreation that is strictly controlled. They believe that the power from the moons is limited and shared among its users, thus their population must be controlled. The Opulents believe that the Singraad do actually get stronger due to exposure to moonlight, but they have found that there are other negative side effects such as a shortened life, and loss of magic capabilities for powers other than dark magic. There is also a higher chance of defects or mutations of genes, and Opulents hold their strict genetic structure in very high esteem.
