The year is 2062. Alden Warren, creator of Warren Corp, successfully implanted a nanochip into his brain. This nanochip was designed to interface with the human mind, greatly enhancing its function and capabilities. Alden had been running simulations for years trying to figure out how to safely do so, and after finding a method that appeared to prove “safe”, attempted it on himself. Now that this nanochip was melded with his brain, his efficiency and knowledge greatly expanded over the following weeks, as did his understanding of the human genome. He even began to see that there was untapped potential within some parts of human DNA.

After only a few months of running experiments and tests, Alden has had his breakthrough experiment succeed on a test sample of human DNA. This experiment was in an attempt to unlock the human potential within the human genome to allow humans to have superpowers. This experiment was conducted on samples collected in a public study. Alden himself contacted the donor to see if he would accept being tested on, with the potential risk of dying or suffering permanent illness. This test subject would become known as Solomon, The Progenitor. The procedure would at first appear to have killed the subject and make his skin appear as if it had been chemically burned. After studying the corpse for several hours, Solomon arose, alive again…. somewhat. He no longer had a readable heartbeat, but his blood flowed once again through his veins. His brain scan showed 100% neuron activation at all times, and he no longer needed food or water to survive. His body seemed to pull energy out of its surroundings to fuel its functions, and it automatically, and nearly instantaneously healed all wounds. Over the next several days Solomon described how he now saw the world, seeing channels of life energy flowing through everything, and some people seemed different with how the energy flowed through them. Other than these oddities, nothing else was out of the ordinary and he did not have any powers like Alden expected or hoped he would have.

Several weeks passed by and a miraculous new occurrence happened with Solomon after he touched one of the doctors that had a unique flow of energy…. The doctor cried out in pain as Solomon’s intentional touch changed the flow of energy through her body and mutated her DNA. Her name was Willow Dawn, and as she screamed in agony her body began to shed a bright light and an intense Electromagnetic Field (EMF), intensifying with each moment until the light was so bright that it seared the entire exam room, and the EMF blew out all of the electronics. She then laid unconscious and appeared unharmed and no longer glowing. When she awoke, she felt different. She was unable to control the light, and EMF that was being released from her before. 

Solomon seemed unchanged, though he felt less than before in some way. Alden convinced Solomon to try and change others too. As the days passed and they found other subjects, Willow began to be able to control her newfound powers and emit light energy and manipulate and produce electricity at her will. Alden and Solomon together found three additional subjects that had unique flows of energy like Willow did and were willing to undergo unexpected changes. These three were: Cyrus Aithne, Holly Blanche, and Clive Rochester. Their powers were Fire, Ice, and Rock respectively. These four would become known as the Prime Supers, and they would be the ones that would spread the S-Gene across humankind over the next few generations, causing many Supers to exist. A severe side effect of performing these changes on others causes Solomon to weaken, slowing his healing powers and dulls his sense of energy flow, so he refused to be in physical contact with any more people, thinking himself as a sort of modern-day Midas. During this time, Warren Corp would develop quite advanced technology, push our capabilities of space travel, but not get us out of the solar system or to the point of terraforming other planets.

A few generations of the S-Gene spreading and expressing itself in many unpredictable ways has caused Supers to become a well-known group of people, albeit still rare. On November 23rd, 2112, a joint expedition group of three alien species visited Earth. The three species were the Sinereans, Emergil, and Chromids. The expedition was looking to map the Milky Way to add it to their map of the Universe. The three species had been long-time allies for hundreds of years due to existing in neighboring solar systems, working on combining magic and technology to achieve intergalactic travel. Though both planets and Chromoda were home to very peaceful and friendly species, they have had to become capable warriors while exploring their galaxy, as they have encountered several hostile creatures and species. This was their first intergalactic expedition, and the first inhabited solar system that they had come into contact with. The timing for humanity couldn’t have been better, as the last fifty or so years lead to them having some form of bargaining chip and proof of high potential.

Alden, Solomon, and the Prime Supers were chosen to be the Earth’s representatives and met with the representatives of the Sinereans, Emergil, and Chromids. They wished to create some treaty or agreement to exchange knowledge with the aliens, and Alden had the genius idea of creating a joint council, the Intergalactic Defense Council (IDC), as well as the protective Galactic Legion United (GLU). All species that joined the council would work together to improve each other and protect each other. The only thing that convinced the aliens to agree to and create these groups was that Earth was to supply a large portion of the initial group of registered Supers for the GLU, to help defend the planets and solar systems that joined the IDC. This would lead to extreme advancement for humankind, though they would almost always be viewed as one of the more young, helpless, and dependent species within the Council, except for them having some of the most powerful Supers in existence.

Now, it is 2184 and the IDC and GLU have many species that have become council members, and Supers. All groups now benefit from the genetic mutations, science, technology, magic, and natural ability that cause the Supers to be…. super. Earthlings have created several colonies in conjunction with many species such as the Sinereans, Emergil, Chromids, Krigorians, Genniki, and Veliken across the Universe.
